About Me

My Way Of Health & Life

Shira Reinhard PT, founder of PT FIT Jerusalem, has been practicing Physical Therapy since 2004 after graduating as valedictorian from Touro College of health science with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Shira received her ACE certification in exercise and fitness in 2001. Shira participated in research towards constraint induced therapy. Shira practiced physical therapy in New York City at St. Luke’s Hospital and Los Angeles where she served as a clinical instructor and clinical manager of a pediatric and adult center. Shira developed her ergonomic training and work conditioning programs for White Memorial Hospital, USC hospital administration, UPS, and The California Department of Sanitation. Shira developed a Continuing Education course through the Board of Physical Therapy in California called ‘Therapy Ball Techniques Use and Methods in the Pediatric Population’. She received Pilates Certifications in classical mat Pilates in Los Angeles as well as Rehabilitation Pilates training through APPI.

Shortly after relocating to Jerusalem Israel in 2013, Shira was certified in both mat and apparatus Pilates equipment through the BASI method. She quickly developed a following of discerning clients who appreciate her innovative exercises, comfort, and confidence in her ability to service her clients with care and attention. Shira is a licensed physical therapist both in Israel and America. She is bilingual, offering her clients the service they need.

Shira enjoys teaching a variety of classes that provide range and variability to her day and routine that she promotes when training her clients. She enjoys creating classes that are safe, fun, smart, and unique to her background as a physical therapist and exercise instructor. Whether in the studio setting or at the comfort of a client’s home, Shira is effective with alleviating pain, restoring movement, improving posture and body awareness, and building strength. Shira is there every step of the way towards the client’s full potential towards recovery and wellness and peace of mind.

Shira Reinhard

The mind body approach to exercise and fitness is an ideal complement to physical therapy when introducing the Pilates principles in order to excel as a form of rehabilitation and fitness.

My method and practice share a fundamental goal in promoting strength and wellness towards a healthy body and mind. I treat a range of conditions and apply a unique approach to improve core strength, joint alignment, and body awareness.
